What did you pay for gasoline today? While I was half filling up my gas tank this morning, I noticed a sign on the side of the pump, “This fuel contains 10% ethanol”. Ethanol Vehicle Fuel: Handle With Care!

Last week, I had a chance to check out a new device for making ethanol for use as a fuel in personal vehicles.

This new system, which was introduced earlier this year, The EFuel100 MicroFueler,â„¢ is the world’s first portable ethanol micro-refinery system, making it possible for homeowners and small businesses to safely and cost-effectively create their own fuel, on-site. I am in no means putting down the EFuel100 MicroFuelerâ„¢, but, if you are thinking about purchasing one of these units, there are real safety and health issues that have to be considered and observed when handling ethanol or ethyl alcohol. Will a Volcanic Eruption in Chile Cause Climate Cooling?

For those who missed it, or did not see the pictures of the recent volcano eruption in Chile, check out the YouTube video showing the enormous amounts of ash being spewed into the atmosphere. The question is: Will the ash, being belched into the atmosphere, have a devastating effect on climate change? If so, will the end result cause a heating or cooling effect? What? Only 51% Say Global Warming is Already Happening?

Some economists and OPEC are saying that crude oil could possible hit $200.00 a barrel as oil continues to set record prices on a regular basis. The president of OPEC, Chalkib Kheilil,wants OPEC to continue pumping oil at current production, even though the U.S. and Europe has requested OPEC to increase oil output.

Unfortunately, these pleas have fallen on deaf ears. I don’t think OPEC really cares about the rhetoric to increase oil production for the West and the rest of the world to ease fuel costs. (Read on …)
